Lisa Ann Pasquale

CEng MCIBSE | BArch | MSc

Lisa is a building performance and technical specialist in low-energy design and quality management in construction. She has an academic background in building physics and Architecture, and has conducted a range of performance evaluations of new, retrofit and refurbished buildings. She uses building forensics as part of an evidence-based approach to low-energy design and reducing the technical risk of construction projects.

She was previously Architype’s Sustainable Design Development manager, as part of a Knowledge Transfer Partnership with Oxford Brookes University. There, she evaluated a range of Architype’s projects, and fed back learning to the Architects to support them in modifying their design and project management approaches.

Lisa has practiced as an Architectural designer in London, Boston and Shanghai. She frequently lectures in industry and academic venues on building performance evaluation, quality assurance in construction and human-centered design. She is a CIBSE Chartered Engineer, and holds a Bachelor of Architecture from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute and an MSc in Sustainable Environmental Design from the Architectural Association. She is also a qualified domestic Retrofit Coordinator.

Lisa was honoured to receive the UKGBC 2016 Rising Star award.

When not working in the built environment, she can often be found bouldering, hill walking, cycling or kayaking, and supporting the local academies on Duke of Edinburgh expeditions in the Highlands.
